It’s not often you find pizzas, tacos and pastas sharing a table seamlessly. So, you can expect good food, warm vibes and innovative cocktails, writes Abhi Singhal
There are restaurants you go to simply for a meal, and then there are places that feel like a second home — where the warmth of the space, the clinking of glasses, and the aroma of freshly baked dough make you linger long after the last bite. Bomba - Pizzeria and Taqueria in Greater Kailash — belongs firmly in the latter category of the options.
Bomba is born out of a love for hosting and sharing food. What began as casual evenings with friends over pizzas and tacos has blossomed into a vibrant culinary destination. Today, it is a place where Neapolitan pizzas, Mexican street-style tacos, and handcrafted pastas happily share the spotlight, all served with an unmistakable twist.
When you step inside and you are greeted with the soft and colourful ambience, comforting charm of a pizzeria paired with the lively spirit of a taqueria. The menu celebrates bold, soulful flavours without pretence — the kind of food you can enjoy whether you’re in for a quick bite or a long, indulgent evening.
I began with the Burrata Pizza, a 12-inch creation available in both thin crust and Neapolitan styles. The oven-roasted cherry tomatoes added a subtle sweetness, balanced by peppery rocket leaves and the creamy richness of burrata. Pesto, Italian basil, and a confit garlic oil brought depth, while paprika, crunchy croutons, and a balsamic drizzle tied the flavours together. It was a medley that felt familiar yet layered, the kind of pizza you return for.
From the taqueria menu, the Crispy Sweet Potato Taco made its way to my plate. The textures were playful — crisp shell, soft sweet potato, creamy avocado purée — while the salsa macha added a smoky bite. Pico de gallo lent freshness, and the signature Bomba tajin lifted the flavour profile with a tangy kick.
The place and its signatures reflect the kitchen’s versatility. The Wild One, a garlic-truffle mushroom pizza, celebrates simplicity with indulgent flair. In contrast, The Hottie 2.0 —layered with pepperoni, n’duja, hot honey, red jalapeno, parmesan, and rocket — is unapologetically bold. Pasta lovers are not forgotten, the Smoked Chilli Vodka Fettuccine crowned with burrata is rich and satisfying, while the 14-hour Pork Ragu Pappardelle showcases depth of flavour that only patience can achieve. For dessert, the Skillet Cookie — gooey at the centre with crisp edges — is nostalgia baked in a pan, best enjoyed warm.
