Jhelum Expresss searched for 40 min due to bomb hoax

Panic prevailed among passengers of trqin number 11077 Jhelum Express going from Pune to Jammu Tawi after information of bomb was received.

When the information about bomb in the train was received, the train was near Rani Kamalapati station (RKMP) of Bhopal. GRP has taken into custody the passenger who said that there was a bomb in the S-9 coach of the train. The accused is Vishwas Rao More, a resident of Pune.

SHO of RKMP police station Sunil Arjariya said that the passenger who informed about the bomb is Vishwas Rao More of Pune. He was also traveling in S-9 coach. Aadhar card and passport have been seized from him. He was the one who had informed Ticket Checker( TC) about the presence of a bomb in the S-9 coach. After this TC gave us this information. A ticket from Pune to Jhansi has been found from the accused passenger.

After reaching Kanpur from Jhansi, he is talking about going to some temple. He told that he was going to the temple to ask for a vow. His wife left him 6 years ago. Pune Police has been informed about this matter.

Jhelum Express reaches RKMP station at 8.31 am daily. It departs at 8.33 after a two-minute halt. On Friday morning the train was running late by about 15 minutes. A passenger in S-9 coach near Rani Kamalapati station told TC about the presence of a bomb. After this there was a commotion in the coach and the passengers got scared.

TC informed GRP about the presence of a bomb in the train. Some passengers caught hold of the passenger who said there was a bomb. As soon as the train reached platform number three of RKMP at 8.48, the GRP and RPF squad surrounded the S-9 coach, in which news of a bomb was received.

Young man who talked about bomb in custody

RPF and GRP searched the entire train including the sleeper coach. Dog squad was also called on the spot. During this time, the police also detained the passenger who had said that there was a bomb. After nothing suspicious was found during checking of the entire train, the train was dispatched at 9.50.

RPF Commandant Prashant Yadav said, a passenger of the train said that there was a bomb in the train. After this the train was searched. This entire process took more than an hour. The young man who talked about the bomb appears to be mentally ill. It will be possible to say something only after inquiry.
