Chief Electoral Officer Shri Anupam Rajan has said that as per the election program of Lok Sabha Elections-2024, the process of filing nomination papers for the second phase is going on. On the fourth day of filing nominations for the second phase, 33 candidates submitted 46 nomination papers. From March 28 till now, 73 nomination papers have been filed by 54 candidates.
Chief Electoral Officer Shri Rajan has informed that on April 3, 5 nomination papers were filed by 3 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 6 Tikamgarh (SC), 8 nomination papers were filed by 7 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 7 Damoh, Lok Sabha 11 nomination papers by 7 candidates in Parliamentary Constituency No. 8 Khajuraho, 7 nomination papers by 3 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 9 Satna, 6 nomination papers by 6 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 10 Rewa, In Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 17 Narmadapuram, 7 nomination papers have been filed by 5 candidates and in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 29 Betul (ST), 2 nomination papers have been filed by 2 candidates.
Chief Electoral Officer Shri Rajan said that the affidavits and other information of the candidates who have filed nomination papers can be seen on the link of the Election Commission of India website https://affidavit.eci.gov.in/ . He informed that the last date for filing nomination papers is April 4. The nomination papers will be scrutinized on April 5. Candidates who have filled the nomination forms will be able to withdraw their names till April 8.
