A video has surfaced in Bhopal, in which a traffic policeman is sitting on a car. The car is running at high speed, while another policeman is chasing the car on a bike. This video is of Friday evening.
The traffic policeman on duty near Piplani petrol pump of the city had tried to stop the car that was moving away by breaking the signal. During this the car driver hit him. The traffic policeman jumped on the bonnet of the car, but the car driver did not stop. He continued driving the car in this condition for a distance of about half a kilometer.
Later, fellow policemen chased the car on the bike and caught the driver. He has been handed over to Piplani police. A case has been registered against the accused under other sections including attempt to murder.
According to Piplani police station TI Anurag Lal, vehicles are being checked on the road to ensure that the code of conduct is followed due to the Lok Sabha elections. As usual, the traffic ASI and two constables were deployed at the checking point at Piplani Petrol Pump intersection on Friday. There was more traffic pressure at this intersection in the evening.
At around 6.15 pm, a gray colored car, which had black film covered with it, was going from Piplani towards Ratnagiri. He broke the signal, then constable Rahul Jaiswal on duty tried to stop him. Instead of stopping the car, the driver hit Rahul. Due to which he jumped and fell on the bonnet of the car. Still he did not stop the car.
The constable stuck on the bonnet kept calling the driver to stop the car. When Rahul raised an alarm, passers-by also tried to stop the car, but the driver did not stop the car. An elderly pedestrian riding a bike tried to stop the car by giving his hand. The car driver also hit the bike. Due to which the elderly fell and got injured. Here, other police personnel posted at the intersection chased him on the bike, somehow stopped him and arrested him.

The accused has been identified as Sujay alias Sanjay Singh (29), resident of Lavkush Nagar, Avadhpuri. He works in marketing in a private company. Police have seized the Tata Altroz car of the accused. During initial interrogation, the accused told that he had gone out for some work in a car with his friend.
