Class VIII student held captive, gang-raped

In a shocking case in Agra, a Class VIII student was allegedly held captive in a hotel room and gang-raped by three men, police said on Tuesday.
The incident took place in Hotel Brother Palace situated on Hathras road in Agra and all the accused are said to be its employees. The student was kept hostage in room number 8 of the hotel for more than 24 hours. The 13-year-old student is a resident of Khandauli area and she studies in a school in Tedi Bagiya area. With her friends, she used to go to the hotel to enjoy fast food.
Tinku Gupta, a resident of Prakash Nagar, is a chef at the said hotel. He has also set up a fast food counter outside the hotel. Tinku Gupta allegedly trapped the student a month ago by befriending her.
The victim, who turned up at the police station with her parents, disclosed that a month ago, Tinku had taken her to the hotel room and molested her. He also recorded the act and threatened to make it viral if she informed anyone.
She alleged that on March 15, when she was returning from school, Tinku Gupta forcibly took her to the hotel and held her captive in room number 8 for more than 24 hours. She also alleged that Tinku raped her several times and on Saturday, his friends  Pramod and Lucky also took turns to rape her. She said as they went out of the room, she ran away and shared her ordeal with her family.
SO, Trans-Yamuna, Sumanesh Vikal said the student had first gone to Khandauli police station with her family. She later came to Trans-Yamuna police station on Monday and revealed  the incident. The minor girl was sent to the district hospital for a medical examination.
The accused have been booked under Indian Penal Code sections 376(D) (gang rape) & 342 (wrongful confinement), and relevant sections of the Protection Of Children from Sexual Offence (POCSO) Act,” the police said.
ACP, Chhatta, Hemant Kumar said they arrested Tinku and Pramod and efforts were on to arrest Lucky.  He said all the accused are employees of the said hotel. The police also secured the CCTV footage from the hotel room.
Meanwhile, in another incident, a 16-year-old girl alleged rape and blackmail by a man in the Aligarh district since June last year. The police registered an FIR based on her mother’s complaint on Monday.
“The 22-year-old accused befriended her through Instagram and later called her to a hotel in Aligarh in June last year. The accused, who was friends with the hotel manager, raped her in a room and also filmed the act. He continued to exploit her physically and also demanded money. The victim gave him Rs 45,000 in October, and later, he demanded Rs 50,000 while threatening to share the video on social media. She refused to give money, and the accused made the video public. He was arrested and sent to jail on Monday,” Aligarh (Rural) Superintendent of Police Palash Bansal said.
