Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Thursday, laid the foundation stones and inaugurated 124 development projects worth about Rs 5,200 crore in Agra.

Addressing a gathering, Chief Minister Yogi praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts to uplift the underprivileged citizens of the nation.

“Today, we pay homage to Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. Honouring Babasaheb signifies respecting the marginalised communities and upholding the Constitution,” he said.

Highlighting the Bharatiya Janata Party’s commitment to societal welfare, the chief minister remarked, “In the past decade, under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, we have witnessed the emergence of a new India, an India where unity transcends caste, religion and language.”

“It is an India that aspires to integrate every village, poor person, farmer, youth and woman into the societal mainstream in order to empower them to lead dignified lives and forge ahead. It is not founded on caste, religion, or language. The guiding principle behind this endeavour is Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,” he added.

The chief minister continued: “Even those sections of society that were deprived of their rights since Independence, are experiencing a sense of inclusion and development under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi today.”

Furthermore, he stressed that honouring Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar translates to upholding the values of the Constitution and the parliamentary system of India. He credited Prime Minister Modi for amplifying the voices of millions of underprivileged individuals across the country.

The chief minister also credited Prime Minister Modi with the significant naming of the international airport in Ayodhya after Maharishi Valmiki, the ‘trikaldarshi’ sage who had a dialogue with Lord Ram.

Chief Minister Yogi also credited Prime Minister Modi with resolving the issue surrounding Seergovardhan in Kashi, revered as the holy land of Sant Ravidas, after becoming Member of Parliament from Varanasi, where a towering 25-feet statue of Sant Ravidas Maharaj has been inaugurated, alongside the construction of a grand park and museum.

The chief minister praised Prime Minister Modi’s efforts in honouring the pioneers of social justice in the country and ensuring rights for the poor, Dalits, and marginalised communities. He highlighted achievements such as providing housing, sanitation facilities and improved healthcare for the underprivileged.

Furthermore, Chief Minister Yogi said that Uttar Pradesh, inspired by Prime Minister Modi, had doubled the scholarship amount for students from Scheduled Castes compared to 2016. He underscored the collaborative efforts of the double-engine government, citing examples such as the establishment of a university in Azamgarh named after Maharaja Suheldev, and the restoration of the Maharaja Bijli Pasi Qila in Lucknow.
