Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday laid the foundation stone of Sant Guru Ravidas Memorial to be built on 5.39 acres of land at Umri Road in Kurukshetra. The construction of this memorial is slated to be accomplished at an estimated cost of Rs 25 crore. Former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar was also present on the occasion.

Speaking at the event, Saini credited his predecessor for the visionary idea of establishing a magnificent memorial for Guru Ravidas on the land historically associated with Lord Krishna. He remarked that the idea is coming to fruition today. In addition, he expressed his belief that the policies and schemes initiated by Khattar, which are currently benefiting the citizens of Haryana, will eventually extend to every household across the nation.

Quoting the verse of Satguru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, ‘Aisa chahoon raj main, jahan sab ko milye anna, chhot bade sab saang base raidas rahe prasanna’, Saini said that Khattar had performed to realize these words during the past nine and half years.

He acknowledged the significant contributions made by Khattar during his tenure. Under Khattar’s leadership, government schemes have reached even the most economically disadvantaged sections of society. Over the last nine and a half years, these initiatives have resulted in uplifting more than 12 lakh impoverished families from the poverty line, he said. With the support and blessings of the people, the present government is committed to continuing the path of comprehensive development set forth by Khattar, he added.

Saini expressed confidence that in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the people of Haryana will ensure victory for the BJP, aiming for the lotus to bloom on all 10 Lok Sabha seats in the state.

Addressing the gathering, Khattar said that in August 2023, Prime Minister Modi had laid the foundation stone of a significant temple dedicated to Guru Ravidas Ji in Madhya Pradesh. Witnessing the magnificence of this endeavour, it sparked the thought of establishing a similar memorial in Haryana to ensure that the upcoming generations could continue to draw inspiration from the teachings of the revered saint, he said.

In homage to Guru Ravidas, Khattar said that he has implemented numerous welfare schemes during his tenure as Chief Minister, aimed at uplifting the underprivileged, empowering youth, women, and farmers across the state. He expressed confidence in Chief Minister Saini’s dedication to furthering these initiatives. Encouraging citizens to contribute to Haryana's progress, he urged support for the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

CM sent job offer letters to 7000 candidates

In another event, Saini shortlisted the applications received for various posts under the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam (HKRN). Using innovative technology, he swiftly sent job offer letters via SMS to over 7,000 candidates with just a single click.

The Chief Minister has clarified that there are misconceptions being spread about inducements for employment within HKRN, which he asserted is entirely false. He also urged the people not to fall prey to any kind of temptation for doing any work in HKRN. The Chief Minister emphasized that the corporation provides employment opportunities on a contract basis to youth through a well-organized process that is entirely honest and transparent.

The candidates shortlisted include posts from Level-1 to Level-3, including 4216 posts of various teachers, 650 peons, 787 posts of safai karamchari, 466 posts of watchmen, 226 posts of Patwaris, 52 posts of drivers, 50 posts of shift attendants, 14 posts of staff nurses, 22 posts of legal assistants, 24 posts of assistant linemen and various other posts, he added.

HKRN Chief Executive Officer Amit Khatri highlighted that under the outsourcing policy, the Chief Minister has taken proactive steps to consolidate employees on a contract basis across various departments under one umbrella, thus safeguarding them from exploitation by contractors.
