The 21st National Theatre Festival CANFEST-2024 kicked off on March 19 at Jayadev Sadan in the port city of Paradip in a grand way with the chief guest Chairman, Paradip Port Authority (PPA) PL Haranadh inaugurating the event.
Several troupes from different parts of the State and country are participating in the fest. Among others, Deputy Chairman, PPA Nilabhra Dasgupta, Chairman, Paradip Municipality Basant Biswal, CGM Sambhunath Chakraborty, Advisor, PPA AK Bose and president, CANMASS Capt. Atulya Kumar Mohapatra were present as the guests on the occasion. The event was conducted by secretary, CANMASS Sriman Narayan Mishra. The Darpan Theatre Group from Lucknow presented the inaugural Hindi play 'Swaha' which was directed by Subhdeep Raha. The festival will continue for eight days from March 19 to 26.
