Sita Soren's daughter Vijayashree Soren has responded to Kalpana's statement after Sita left the JMM and joined the BJP. Vijayashree has given a blunt reply to Kalpana and asked Kalpana not to use her father's name. After Kalpana's statement, both the daughters of Sita Soren have presented their sides.

Kalpana Murmu Soren had given an emotional statement after JMM leader Durga Soren's wife Sita Soren joined BJP. She said how intimate the relationship was between Durga Soren and her husband Hemant Soren. Kalpana said that many times she had seen that Durga Soren treated Hemant not as his younger brother but as his own son.

Responding to the statement Jayshree Soren said, “Papa (Durga Soren) has taught us that we should never bow down in front of injustice. Women have been suffering injustice for centuries. But despite all the injustice and 14 years of loyalty, we got this lesson. This decision of joining BJP must not have been easy for my mother. I respect my mother's decision.”

Vijayashree said, “Finally my mother's struggles and challenges came to an end. Ultimately she decided not to give up and work for the welfare of Jharkhand and its people without facing any obstacles. In the end I would like to say that I will not remain stagnant. I will follow the path that my late father Durga Soren ji wanted. That path is to always fight against injustice.”

Kalpana has remembered late Durga Soren and her sacrifices. She has said that Hemant never wanted to enter politics but it was Durga Soren whose struggles took Hemant forward and he entered politics. For Hemant, Durga da was not just an elder brother but like a father.

“In 2006, when I became a part of this sacrificial family after marriage, I saw Hemant's respect and dedication towards his elder brother. I saw Durga da's love for Hemant ji. In view of the untimely death of Durga Dada and the health of respected Baba, Hemant ji had to enter politics. Hemant ji had not chosen politics but politics had chosen Hemant ji. He wanted to become an architect but he had the responsibility of carrying forward the legacy and struggle of JMM, Respected Baba and Late Durga Da.”
