Voters in Uttarakhand increased by 5,55,784  in 5 years

The total number of voters in the five parliamentary constituencies of Uttarakhand has increased by 5,55,784 in the last five years. The data of the election commission shows that in the Lok Sabha election of 2019, the State had 77,65,423 voters and in the elections of 2024 a total of 83,21,027 voters are eligible to cast their votes on April 19.

 In the elections of 2019 the State had 40,53,944 male, 37,11,220 female and 259 transgender voters which increased to 43,08,904 male, 40,12,006 female and 297 transgender voters  in 2024.

Haridwar Lok Sabha seat has witnessed the maximum increase of voters in the last five years in the State. In Haridwar  the number of voters has increased by 1,07,870 between 2019 and 2024. Haridwar is followed by Nainital- Udham Singh Nagar constituency where the number of voters has increased by 1,04, 104 in the past five years.  Similarly, the number of voters in Tehri and Garhwal Lok Sabha constituencies has increased by 54,561 and 22,254 voters respectively in the last five years. The mountainous Almora constituency which is reserved for SC candidates has witnessed an increase in voter number by only 11,997 in the last five years.

Incidentally, Haridwar is the parliamentary constituency with the maximum number of voters in Uttarakhand with 20,31,632 voters registered in the segment. Haridwar is followed by Nainital- Udham Singh Nagar constituency which has 20,10,800 voters. Tehri has 15,74,144, Garhwal 13,66,983 and Almora 13,37,648 voters.
