Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated on Friday that the Dakshinanchal of Gorakhpur, including Dhuriyapar, has ushered in an era of industrialisation and this development defies earlier perceptions that deemed this area incapable of progress.
“The inauguration of the first CBG (compressed bio-gas) plant in eastern Uttar Pradesh and Gorakhpur, located at Usar in Dhuriyapar, marks a significant milestone for our industrial landscape. This plant will not only generate employment opportunities for the youth but also enhance the income of our farmers,” the chief minister said.
Chief Minister Yogi highlighted the pivotal role of the plant in bolstering the region’s industrial framework. He emphasised the employment opportunities it would create for the youth and the added income it would generate for farmers.
Accompanied by Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, Chief Minister Yogi inaugurated the Indian Oil CBG plant, symbolising a transformation from waste to wealth.
The event also marked the unveiling of development projects worth over Rs 222 crore in the Bansgaon Lok Sabha constituency. This includes the inauguration of 20 projects valued at more than Rs 68 crore and the foundation laying of 17 projects worth over Rs 154 crore.
In his address, Chief Minister Yogi underscored the significance of utilising waste to augment income, resonating with the proverb ‘aam ke aam, guthliyon ke daam’.
Reflecting on Dhuriyapar’s journey from a struggling sugar mill to a thriving industrial hub, he credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership for the resurgence of the region.
Highlighting the infrastructural advancements and welfare schemes benefiting farmers and underprivileged communities, Chief Minister Yogi outlined the progress in flood protection measures, road expansions, and gas connections provided under the Ujjwala Yojana.
Furthermore, he emphasised the integration of Dakshinanchal with GIDA (Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority) through the Gorakhpur Link Expressway of the Purvanchal Expressway, facilitating local employment opportunities and attracting national and international investments.
Chief Minister Yogi accentuated the inclusive nature of employment at the CBG plant, with workers hailing from various regions. He underscored the importance of skill development initiatives for local youth and highlighted the potential income boost for farmers through stubble and cow dung supply.
Addressing environmental concerns, Chief Minister Yogi emphasised the plant’s role in stubble utilisation and organic fertiliser production, contributing to nature conservation and soil fertility.
Urging citizens to re-elect the Narendra Modi government for accelerated development, Chief Minister Yogi concluded by reaffirming the vision of a prosperous India under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.
Alongside inaugurating the CBG plant, Chief Minister Yogi inspected the premises, planted saplings and engaged with officials and dignitaries present, including Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and local representatives.
