Odia artists bag National Film Award for special effects

The Alien Sense Films Private limited, a Mumbai-based visual effects company founded by Abhilash Nanda and Ranjan Rath in 2010, bagged the 61st National Film Award (Rajat Kamal) for best special effects in movie Jal.

VFX Supervisor Abhilash Nanda received the award from the President of India.

Nanda said visual effects and filmmaking are all about teamwork and thanked the entire team of Alien Sense, all shooting crews, One World Films and Clapstem Productions for the achievement.

Notably, the Alien Sense Films works across different areas, including feature films, commercials, music videos, feature animation and digital. The company has represented itself in several films including The Host, In Time, Vishwaroopam, lootera, Ra One, Billa 2 and some shots in Chennai Express and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.
