Super league teams spotted in SBM Cricket
Bhubaneswar: Sundargarh, Bhubaneswar-A and Jharsuguda defeated Paradip, Boudh and Gajapati by 252, 95 and 61 runs respectively and entered the super league round of the Sumit Bose Memorial OCA U-16 Inter-District Cricket Tournament at Ravenshaw Ground in Cuttack on Wednesday. Sarat Minz of Sundargarh smashed 190 runs and powered the team to score 365 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 50 overs. In reply, Biswajit Mohanty of Sundargarh scalped five wickets and restricted Paradip for 113 runs in 23.3 overs. In others league matches of the day, Bolangir, Nayagarh and Phulbani beat Dhenkanal, KIIT and Khurda by six wickets, 130 and five runs respectively.

Rohit Academy win Bachan Memorial Football
Bhubaneswar: Rohit Football Academy emerged champion by defeating Gallant Football Club by 5-4 goals vie through penalty kicks in the Bachan Memorial Football Tournament at Padmapur, being organized by Friends Pariwars Athletic Wings. Jaya Prakash Sahu, Md Imtiaz, Sk Moin and Sk Jan received best goalkeeper, defence, midfielder and forward awards respectively. Daitari Barua, Jiban Joyti Nayak, Joyti Ranjan Swain, Imtiaz Zahir and Sk Abdul Bari were officiated the nail biting final match. MlA Prakash Chandra Behera distributed the prizes as the chief guest of the closing ceremony in presence of OCA secretary Asirbad Behera.
