BJP’s Star campaigner and Union Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj reached Raipur on Saturday.
Addressing a Party Workers’ Convention of Raipur (North) constituency here after her arrival in the city, Swaraj said that even the United Nations talks about Chhattisgarh’s Food Security scheme.
‘I am asked in foreign countries, which is this State in India where nobody goes to bed hungry and my answer is Chhattisgarh’, she said.
I am happy that BJP MLAs in Chhattisgarh are asking for votes on the basis of development work done by them and not on sentiments”, Swaraj said.
“This is the Government for the welfare of the poor, she said.
There was a time when the poor was scared of entering a Bank. With the launch of ‘Jan Dhan Yojana’ two thirds of the poor are now connected to banking, Swaraj said.
