Dhanbad, after Ramgarh and Bokaro, became the third district of the State to attain full electrification tag where every household in the district has been given power connection.

The step is in the direction of the Government that has set to complete the exercise throughout the State by December this year.

The programme though was to be marked by Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Friday  but he could not make it to the event since his chopper developed some technical snag and he could not fly to the venue demarcated at Tundi of the district.

Local MP PN Singh completed in the formalities in the presence of MLAs Raj Sinha, Fulchand Manda and Raj Kishore Mahto.

Jharkhand Urja Vitaran Nigam Limited Managing Director Rahul Purwar informed that total 78452 households were given power connection to make the entire district energised.

“We had started the campaign three years ago when 2525 villages and over 78000 households were deprived of electricity all over Jharkhand.

The journey has been commendable since then as we are about to declare whole State electrified come December 2018,” said the MD.

Purwar on the occasion also made it clear that Ranchi district is going to be the next in line which would be done to Ranchi most likely on November 5.  “Ranchi is our next destination and the feet would be completed across the State by the end of this year as per the ambitious goal set by the State Government,” said he. The CM on the occasion also laid foundation for scheme worth Rs 125 crore along with opening schemes worth Rs 34 crore. Schools children were given dress.
