Himachal CM Thakur meets Union Minister Rajnath Singh

Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Sunday urged the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to accord tribal status to Hatti community of Sirmour district.

 He said that this has been long pending demand of the State Government and state has been representing about the same since many years.

He added that the community has been accorded this status in Uttarakhand and demanded to grant the same status to the community in Himachal Pradesh also on the same analogy.

The Chief Minister also demanded to declare Trans Giri area as Scheduled Area which would boost the development of the area which has been neglected for long time by non BJP governments.

He also said that the BJP government has always given priority to balanced development of all areas of the state.

Union Minister Rajnath Singh listened to the demands of the Chief Minister and assured to give all possible assistance to the state.

MP Virender Kashyap, Social Justice & Empowerment Minister Rajiv Saizal, MLA Suresh Kashyap, Former MLA Baldev Tomar, BJP leader Chander Mohan Thakur, Political Advisor to CM Trilok Jamwal, Principal Private Secretary to CM Vinay Singh were also present among others.
