Uma Bharti's PSO shoots himself dead

The Personal Security Officer (PSO) of senior BJP leader and Union Minister Uma Bharti shot himself inside FRV Dial 100 vehicle while being taken to Kamla Nagar police station late in the night on Wednesday.

The deceased identified as Ram Mohan Dandotiya died during late in the night at Hajela hospital when he was rushed to hospital after shooting himself.

Police said that the Dandotiya was deployed as PSO of former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Uma Bharti and shot him with his service pistol after he was detained by police personnel of FRV Dial 100, he was detained after his wife informed Kamla Nagar police that Dandotiya was beating her in an inebriated state.

The deceased hailed from Bhind and used to live here he was living with his wife at Nehru Nagar. He used to have fights with her wife. 

Police were informed around 11.30 in the night by Dandotiya’s wife regarding verbal spate and harassment in an inebriated state and acting swiftly Dial 100 FRV assigned in Nehru Nagar area reached the spot and detained Dandotiya.

The deceased was Company Commander in Special Armed Forces (SAF) and posted as PSO to Union Minister Uma Bharti.

On the part of the police it was negligence which lead to the death as Dandotiya was not frisked before been detained and he managed to carry his service revolver in the FRV.

After the death DIG Dharmendra Choudhary ordered magisterial enquiry of death which occurred in police custody. The body was sent for post mortem after the preliminary investigation.
