Will show black flags to PM as mark of protest: Cong

State Executive body meeting of State unit of Congress party held here passed a ‘condemnation motion’ to protest  the cane charging incident on party workers here on

Tuesday last. The meeting also decided to show black flags to Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his programmes scheduled in the State on Saturday as a mark of protest.

The ‘condemnation motion’ was moved in the meeting by senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Charandas Mahant. Motion strongly condemned alleged police brutality and pledge was thereafter taken to oppose the Government till those responsible for incident are not brought to book. The Congress is demanding FIR against the guilty police officials and the probe be headed by a HC Sitting Justice.

It also decided to oppose the PM at Janjgir Champa where he is going to address public meet after dedicating to public Madhwa Power Plant established by the State Government.
