ESIC organises blood donation camp
New Delhi: On the occasion of birthday of the great revolutionary Bhagat Singh, the Sub-Regional Office of Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Gurugram, organised a blood donation camp at its premises in sector 34 near Hero Honda Chowk on 27.09.2019. The blood donation camp was organised with the help of ESIC Hospital and Medical College, Faridabad. The camp was inaugurated by Shri Ratnesh Kumar Gautam, Director Incharge, SRO, ESIC, Gurugram. And he volunteered himself to be the first donor of the camp.
Pradhan visits SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant
New Delhi: Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Minister of Steel visited SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant on 29th September, 2019. In a daylong meeting he took a tour of steel plant, held a review meeting with officials and interacted with the customers.
NCC Boy Cadets summiting the Mt Hanuman
New Delhi: Lt Gen Rajeev Chopra, AVSM, DG NCC Flagged-in Boys Mountaineering Expedition team 2019 of NCC on their successful summition of Mt. Hanuman Tibba Peak at the height of 5982m/19626 ft at New Delhi on 30 Sep 2019. The team was flagged off on 26 Aug 2019 from HQ DGNCC, New Delhi. The expedition team was headed by Col Dhirenda Singh along with Col Shrot Singh and six PI staff. Initially the expedition team honed their mountaineering skills at ABVIMAS, Manali and at base Camp at Beas Kund, before moving out for attempting the summit. The peak was successfully submitted by the entire team,the technical difficulty level of the peak is graded as A Plus. The approach towards the peak is crevice prone, with a steep rock face close to the summit. The wind speed at the peak is around 100 nautical miles. Despite all odds, challenges and inclement weather, the NCC Cadets successfully scaled the peak. The expedition is testament of the grit and determination of these cadets and the high level of training imparted to them in the NCC.
