A 3D Engineering Workstation was inaugurated in Centre for Engineering & Technology (CET) by Dr. G Vishwakarma, Director (P & BP), SAIL along with Soma Mondal, Director (Commercial), SAIL here on Tuesday. (CET) is in-house technical consultantof SAIL.CET has been endeavoring to upgrade its capabilities in the field of planning, design & engineering.
A substantive step towards new age transition from working in 2D to 3D in all engineering activities has been taken recently under the leadership of Kajal Das, ED, CET.
3D model of engineering gives holistic view of the facility under any project and it leads to elimination of any interferences. This leads to faster execution of the projects. Subsequent to software procurement & development of team of officers and to invigorate the undying commitment of CET to excel this new center has been inaugurated.
Inauguration was held in the presence of ED,GMs, Department In-charges & officers of CET. Dr. G Vishwakarma, Director (P&BP), SAIL, and Soma Mondal, Director (Commercial), SAIL appreciated the efforts of CET and wishes the CET collective to scale still higher heights.
He expressed theconfidence that with these new facilities, CET collective shall be better equipped to participate in the modernization of SAIL and realize the vision of Nation Steel Policy.
