Amid war of words over urea shortage in the State, Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that there was no urea crisis in MP and State Government was busy in improving supplies.

BJP leaders claimed there have been long queues in few districts for buying urea amid a short supply of this fertiliser. Taking note of these allegations, LOp Gopal Bhargav took to twitter on Friday to accuse the Kamal Nath Government of messing up urea supplies.

“Instead of managing urea supplies, the State Government is busy managing black-marketing of the fertiliser,” Bhargav alleged. The senior BJP leader even claimed that farmers never faced any such issued in BJP Government but in Congress Government, black marketing of urea and farmers are being cane-charged.

The Congress and black marketing are two phases of a same coin and the same has started for urea in Congress raj yet again, Bhargav added in another tweet.

The state is seeing the return of Bantadhar yug (destruction era) as districts are reporting scuffles for urea and farmers are getting beaten up police amid urea shortage frequently, said Bhargav tagging a picture of farmers lining up for buying urea in Madhusudangarh as claimed by a Hindi daily.

To this, Chief Minister Kamal Nath promptly replied on tweeter. In one of the tweets, Nath affirmed that there was no urea crisis in MP and state government was busy improving supplies. We are constantly in touch the Centre urging it to enhance our urea quota, Nath added. He further added that distribution mechanism is ready for disbursement of the fertiliser to farmers in accordance with the demand.

The Chief Minister even claimed that the MP Government has ensured more storage and sales of urea than the last year.  “The State Government has in the past issued necessary instructions for ensuring enough supplies and preventing black marketing.”
