The Anchalika Bikash Parishad, Marwadi Mahila Samiti, Nature Lovers Odisha, Boxing Odisha and Mahatma Helping Hands jointly in association with the MKCG Medical College Hospital organised a voluntary blood donation camp for the sixth time here on Sunday.
The aim of the camp was to encourage the youths to donate blood during the summer as scarcity of blood is seen in the blood banks in this season.
As many as 24 donors, including four first timers, donated blood in the camp.
Brahmapur DFO Ashish Kumar Behera gracing as chief guest motivated the donors. Among others, Chandan Jani, Sibaram Panigrahi, Deepak Patra, Sagar Kumar Patra, Brijesh Majhi, M Venkat Ramna, S Babu, A Suresh, M Adarsh, Sushil Kumar, Sunia Gouda and Srinivas Rajan were present.
While five other camps were held earlier, a total of 119 units of blood were collected from all six camps.
