Governor Anusuiya Uikey will inaugurate the 46th Jawaharlal Nehru National Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition for Children on October 15 at B.T.I. Campus, Shankar Nagar, Raipur. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will preside over the event.
The exhibition will be open for viewing from 11.00 AM to 5.00 PM from October 15 to 20.
National Council of Educational Research and Trining in collaboration with School education department, Government of Chhattisgarh and SECRT, Chhattisgarh are jointly organising the event.
Cultural event will be organised from October 15 to 19 from 5.30 to 7.00 PM. Daily workshops will be organised from October 16 to 18 by scientists from 9.00 to 10.30 AM. The participants will be taken for an educational tour on October 20.
Education department officials intimated that two domes have been made for the event. One dome will have the lectures, inaugural and concluding functions while the other dome will exhibit the scientific models of the school children. The theme of the event is ‘Scientific Solutions for Challenges in Life’. The sub themes are agriculture and organic farming, cleanliness and health, resource management, waste management, transport and communication and mathematical modelling.
Chhattisgarh students will exhibit 22 models and the total models on display will be 147. Additional to it, in exhibition, the state government flagship programme ‘Narva, Gharuva, Ghurva aur Baari’ (NGGB) model, multi-media text books and others will also be displayed in separate stalls.
