Jaivardhan, PC Sharma inaugurates ‘Hackathon’

Minister of Urban Development and Housing Jaivardhan Singh and Minister of Public Relations and Science and Technology  PC Sharma inaugurated a two-day ‘Hackathon’ workshop for start-ups at Incubation Centre, B-Nest of Smart City Development Corporation Limited at Hotel Noor-us-Sabah. The workshop will conclude on Sunday.

Singh said that the aim of the Government is to guide the human resource of the State and make them self-reliant and skillful. He said that Hackathon’s theme is health care, water, transport, agriculture, waste, energy, industrial IOT, citizen service, Fintech and city surveillance.

Singh said that work hard with full devotion in the start-up, you will definitely get success. Welcoming the 79 start-ups who joined the Hackathon, he said 10 chosen start-ups would get a chance to work with B-Nest. Singh informed that Rs 1.25 lakh will be given to the first prize winning team, Rs 75,000 to the second and Rs 50,000 to the third.

Public Relations Minister Sharma said that there is no lack of investment for start-ups. He said that more and more youth will get employment from it. Sharma said that children have a tendency to innovate. Such events provide a platform for their innovations. He said that due to the working system of the Chief Minister, the trust of investors has increased in the state.  Sharma lauded the smart challan system.

In the programme, an MoU was signed for exchange of start-up ideas between Smart City CEO Deepak Singh and Abhishek Mohan Gupta of Jagran Lakecity University. CEO of Smart City, Bhopal Singh apprised with the objectives of Hackathon. In the exhibition organized on this occasion, the Ministers duo held a discussion with the participants and appreciated their works.
