The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) East Delhi candidate Gautam Gambhir won from East Delhi with a margin of 3,91,222 votes leaving behind the Aam Aadmi party (AAP) candidate Atishi and the Congress candidate Arvinder Singh.

“Neither it’s a ‘Lovely’ cover drive and nor it is an ‘Atishi Ballebaji’ It’s just the BJP’s ideology which people have supported. Thanks a lot to all the @BJP4India and @BJP4Delhi team-mates for getting this mandate. We won’t fail people’s choice.#EkBaarPhirModiSarkar,” Gambhir tweeted.

Recently during the election campaign, the AAP candidate Atishi alleged that Gambhir was behind a pamphlet distributed by some unidentified person in the constituency abusing and using derogatory words against her.

The cricketer turned politician Gambhir who has secured 695109 in the latest trend tweeted a row of tweet against the AAP and said in a tweet, “Is chunau mai Arvind Kejriwal ne Apna Zameer aur Emaan khoya hai, 8 mahine mai apni satta khoyega. Jitna khichad AAP ne delhi mai felaya hai, utna hi Kamal khilaega, (Arvind Kejriwal has lost his honesty and self respect, he will lose his throne in the next eight months. As much as the mud AAP has spread in Delhi, the same ‘Kamal’ will grow in Delhi.”

In another tweet he thanked the people of East Delhi and his party workers for choosing him.
