MCL CMD RR Mishra along with Director (Technical/OPs and P and P) OP Singh and senior advisor LN Mishra visited the Talcher Coalfield on Saturday.
Mishra visited the open cast mines of Talcher coalfields and interacted with the coalminers under the “Khadan Bhetghat” campaign. He enquired about the workers’ welfare and working conditions in the mines.
The miners discussed with the CMD on several issues of common interest and also contributed their ideas for better welfare measures of the employees, smooth coal mining and despatch operations in their projects.
The visit of every mine concluded with awarding the token of prize to the best performers for their distinguished contributions.
MCL has a target of 162.5 million tonne and every miner from bottom to top has tightened their belt to achieve the record breaking target.
Mishra offered prayers to Goddess Maa Hingula Peetha and sought blessings.
