Cong agitates over increased electricity bills, party workers protest at electricity offices

The Congress Party is continuously agitating in the city over the increased electricity bills; congressmen staged protest at three electricity circle offices on Wednesday.

Congress spokesperson Vivek Soni said that electricity bills worth thousands of rupees are coming from poor working class people all over the state. It is killing of democracy as reining BJP is not paying any attention to woes of these suffering people, BJP and their CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, talk about the interests of the poor working class, about the increasing electricity bills of the people.

Not taking any action nor yet any relief statement has been issued on their behalf, for their interest, a phased agitation has been started by the city Congress Committee Ujjain in the last few days in protest against the increasing electricity bills.  There was a sit-in demonstration by the Congress party on Mandal.

On Wednesday too, hundreds of Congressmen led by city Congress president Mahesh Soni performed at Chhatri Chowk Vidyut Mandal, Kartik Chowk Vidyut Mandal and Hanumangarhi Vidyut Mandal and now on Friday, Congress Party will perform at other Vidyut Mandal Vidyut Mandal Zone.  Hundreds of Congressmen were present during the protest including former Chairman Azad Yadav, Kailash Bisen, Councilor Maya Trivedi, Executive President Jitendra Goyal, Sunil Kachhwai and Lalchand Bharti.
