Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi on Monday laid foundation-stone for a flyover at Hanspal here.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) would construct the flyover at the accident-prone spot on NH-16 in a period of 18 months at a cost of Rs 24.63 crore. Sarangi had met Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari in this regard last year.
A committee comprising the NHAI Project Director and local residents has been formed for timely completion of the project, Sarangi said. Hanspal residents expressed their gratitude to Sarangi for fulfilling their long-pending demand.
