Two held for giving shelter to Dubey’s accomplices

After the killing of gangster Vikas Dubey in an encounter with the STF on Friday morning, Chaubepur police arrested two persons on Saturday on charges of providing shelter to the accomplices of the slain criminal.

These persons had provided shelter to criminals involved in Bikru ambush on July 2 night in their house.

Identified as Om Prakash Pandey, son of Chhotelal Pandey, and Anil Pandey, son of Chandra Prakash Pandey, both the accused are residents of Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh.

A team of Chaubepur police which visited Gwalior, arrested them on Saturday.

An FIR was also lodged against them with the Chaubepur police.

Both the accused had provided shelter to wanted criminals Shashi Kant Pandey alias Sonu, son of Prem Prakash alias Rajaram alias Prem Kumar, and Shivam Dubey, son of Bal Govind Dubey, residents of Bikru (Chaubepur) involved in Bikru ambush in which eight police personnel were killed.

The police team was led by Sub-Inspector Azhar Israt of Chaubepur police station.
