Monday, 19 April 2021 | Staff Reporter | Bhopal

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the Covid crisis is very grave. It is a war in which everyone will have to forget all differences and fight unitedly. The Government is making all efforts at its level, but we will not be able to control the Covid quickly without the full support of the society.

Chouhan suggested having an immediate check-up if there are any symptoms of the disease and stay in home isolation or at Covid care centre and receive treatment. The government has made complete arrangements for medicines, doctor's consultation, etc.

He said that it is very necessary to break the chain of infection in view of the increasing Corona infection. He appealed to the public that no one should go out of the house unnecessarily till April 30. People should enforce public curfew in villages, mohallas, colonies, buildings etc. During this time, two or four persons should bring the necessary items. Mask must be applied while going out. Maintain social distance and follow other corona related precautions.

Chouhan said, "I am confident that with the cooperation of all, we will win this battle quickly. Corona will lose soon." He appealed to all religious, social, political and other organisations and public to cooperate in the fight against Corona.

Chouhan said that the government is providing all the facilities for treatment of Corona in home isolation. An ambulance is also being arranged to take them to the hospital when needed. Patients who have less space at their home should stay in the Covid Care Centre. Apart from medicines, arrangements for food, tea-snacks etc. have also been made there. Covid care centres have been started in all districts.

Chouhan said that the government is continuously increasing the number of beds in hospitals. While we had a total of 21,159 beds available on April 1, today the number of beds has increased to 40,784. In the last three days, about 3,000 beds have increased.

Chouhan said that from April 8 till now, nearly one lakh Remdesivir injections have arrived, including government supplies and private sector supplies. Today, a government supply of 12,000 injections is being received from the Hetero company. On April 20, 20,000 injections will be received from the Mylan company.
