Rowan Ainsworth, Consul General in Australian Consulate, Kolkata, visited CMPDI and had a brief discussion regarding the areas of co-operations in various sectors with CMPDIL/CIL.
A brief presentation on CMPDI profile and various ongoing activities like India- Australia collaborations, potential areas of cooperation in coal sector, future plans of diversification in coal India Limited, etc. were discussed and deliberated.
Rowan Ainsworth enquired into various issues of coal mining projects like High wall mining, CBM/CMM developments, Carbon sequestration and R&D projects etc., which were replied by CMPDI. She assured CMPDI/CIL to extend all support from her office for the development of Coal Mining, CMM/CBM and other related fields in association with potential partners/manufacturers from Australia.
On this occasion, A.K.Rana, Sr. Advisor (Mining), CMPDI; and other GMs/HoDs from CMPDI were present.
