On completion of 75 years of independence, the nation is celebrating Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and the first General Body Meet of Doctors Wives Association for the year 2022 kicked off with a colourful pre celebration of the Republic Day on Zoom on Friday. President Bindu Prasad welcomed all members clad in tricolour setting a perfect atmosphere for the forthcoming national festival. Past President Shobha Kumar introduced the office bearers for the current year, which are--President-Bindu Prasad, Secretary- Dr Soni Sinha and Treasurer-Renu Tiwari.
Few senior members, Sanjukta Choudhary, Mona Pal, Sangeeta Sharan, Uma Sengupta, Minakshi Mahto, Sufia Ali, Asha Shrivastav and Rokhsana Bano paid homage to the martyrs/ freedom fighters of our nation highlighting their contribution in the freedom movement. The talented children of the members namely Adwita D/O Dr Nupur Vani, Vaany D/O Anjali R Singh, Arshika D/O Dr Shikhsha Lal, Pragya Ranjan S/O Anju Kr. Singh presented beautiful songs and dances on the theme of patriotism. All members joined together to sing the national anthem.
Thereafter Vinita Sharan Chairperson and Jhooma Sarkar, Co-Chairperson of DWA proposed the future plan of charity work for our Association. The entire programme was coordinated by the Secretary Dr Soni Sinha who thanked everyone. Pallavi Sharan and Anju Kr Singh were specially thanked for their technical support. The meeting was attended by Past President Rashmi Sinha, Manju Khaitan, Nita Sahay, Rekha Mishra, Kamlesh Middha, Arti Singh, Seema Maheshwari, Shreela Choudhary, Deepa Chouhan, Rinku Choudhary, Rashmi Bakshi, Sunita Rungta, Supriya Thakur, Sunita Sinha, Bibha Singh, Neelum Shekhar, Sindhu Badhani, Arti Sinha, Shalini Sinha, Meera Gupta, Sushma Mishra, Sumita Kumar, Dr Swati Adukia, Sumita Kumar, Poonam Jha, Anjana Barnawal, Minakshi Bajaj, Suman Jha , Debsmita Srivastava, Manideepa Sarkar and Usha Pandey.
