Six students from the Mechanical Engineering department of Sanskriti University developed an electric vehicle ‘Electric Buggy’.
The overall goal of creating and fabricating Electric buggy is to promote the reliability and progress of electrification in the automotive industry. The University also organised an inauguration ceremony for the Electric Buggy. During this, a test drive session of the Electric Buggy was also done.
The Electric Buggy is a lightweight off-road vehicle designed for use in sandy and off-road terrains. Under the guidance of faculty and lab staff, the Electric Buggy was created by Thokchom, Satish, Monu, Deepak, Jivan, and Akhilesh, B.tech final year students of Mechanical Engineering. This buggy is capable of carrying a weight of up to 500 kg. The major advantage of this buggy is that it produces no emissions and can go up to 80 kilometres at a speed of 40 kilometres per hour (approx).
This buggy model's future prospects include integrating it with non-conventional energy sources and totally automating it.Speaking on this, Sachin Gupta, Chancellor of Sanskriti University, delivered a speech praising and motivating the hard efforts of students in making the electric buggy. He stated that the mechanical engineering department was engaged in a variety of research projects.
They will undoubtedly contribute to both internal and exterior societies. Additionally, he applauded the faculty and student’s efforts for their original ideas.
