NCC annual training camp organised

A ten-day joint annual training camp is being organized by the 1st Naval Unit of National Cadet Corps at Madhyanchal Professional University, Ratibad, Bhopal.

The workshop began from July 19 and will continue till July 24. In this workshop around 490 cadets are getting training from different districts of Madhya Pradesh. Through the Naval unit, the youth are being trained in their lives to discharge their duties towards their country, to build their character, about various departments of the Indian Navy.

Notably,after the proper training, the cadets are selected through a tough selection process. The cadets attending the camp participate in a number of activities like Cultural, National Integration Awareness program and Institutional Training Competitions. The selected students are then further identified for the nationational camp. The national camp is visited by a large number of dignitaries including the Vice President of India, Defence Minister, Defence State Minister, Chief Minister of Delhi and the Chiefs of the Army, Navy and Air force.

The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and drill. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course. The emblem of the NCC consists of 3 colours; red, dark blue and light blue. These colours represent the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force respectively.

The camp is being organized under the leadership of Commandant Om Prakash Sharma, Deputy Commandant Rishabh Kashwa. Besides, here on Friday, the  Camp inspection was done by Group Commander Sanjoy Ghosh. In the beginning of the camp, Prof. of Madhyanchal Professional University. Chancellor Ajit Singh Patel, Director General Rajesh Kumar Rai, Registrar Prof. Lalit Awasthi, Dean Student Welfare Savita Tiwari were present.
