To provide benefits of Sarvajan Pension Scheme to maximum numbers of people, Ranchi District Administration decided that it will conduct a survey In Ranchi district in all block zone areas to cover 100 percent eligible persons. Ranchi Deputy Commissioner (DC), Rahul Kumar Sinha has instructed all BLO supervisors and all booth level officials to conduct surveys under their booths to give benefits of Sarvajan Pension Yojana to the eligible beneficiaries of the district.
The BLO supervisor and all booth level officials have been directed to receive the application form of Sarvajan Pension Yojana to old, destitute and disabled by March 29.
The people eligible under the scheme are the applicant himself or his wife, husband should not be permanently employed, retired and in receipt of pension, family pension in Central and State Government or Central, State, Public Sector Undertakings, the income tax paying family shall not be considered eligible, applicants and eligible persons left out through survey under Ranchi district are to be covered under Sarvajan Pension Yojana, the District Social Security, Koshang, Ranchi District by compiling the report received from the BLO Supervisor in the prescribed form of all the polling stations by the DC to the concerned Block Development Officers (BDOs), Circle Officers (Cos) in urban area of the district has been instructed to make available daily.
The BDOs, COs in urban areas have been directed to approve the applications received from eligible persons who have been left out again after a complete survey of each polling station as per the rules. So that 100 per cent target can be fulfilled under the scheme in Ranchi district.
Meanwhile, surprise inspection of every block of public distribution system shops of Ranchi district.
As per the instructions of the DC, a surprise inspection of five public distribution system shops in each block of Ranchi district was conducted on Friday. Total 22 officials deputed for investigation inspected the public distribution system shops in different blocks.
From 9:00 am itself, all the investigating officers went to the concerned public distribution system shops and checked regarding the distribution of ration done in the last five months. The officials talked to the beneficiaries and inquired about their problems and also inquired about the complaint related to the dealer.
Information about distribution of stock and food grains was also taken by the investigating officials. A report related to the investigation will also be submitted by all the investigating officers.
