Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Prime Minister Narendra Modi met on Saturday during the dinner of the G20 Summit (G20 Summit 2023). Along with this, a picture of CM Hemant Soren is being discussed a lot during this dinner. In this picture, Hemant Soren is seen with Indian President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and America's President Biden. Chief Minister Hemant Soren is talking to everyone and everyone seems happy about it. This meeting between PM Modi and CM Soren has happened for the first time after the formation of I.N.D.I.A alliance.

CM Soren on the invitation of President reached New Delhi in the evening. CM Soren after meeting the shared pictures in his twitter handle and tweeted, “This evening I had the privilege of attending the #G20India2023 official dinner organized by the Hon. President Smt. Draupadi Murmu ji at Rashtrapati Bhavan. On this occasion, I also got an opportunity to meet Union Ministers, Chief Ministers and other dignitaries.”

CM Soren attending the G20 dinner also assume importance as he once again skipped the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning in money laundering case.

Soren did not appear before the ED on August 14 and August 24 as well. The ED then asked him to appear at its regional office in Ranchi on September 9.

"CM Hemant Soren will leave for New Delhi to attend the dinner hosted by President Droupadi Murmu for officials of the G20 summit," the chief minister's office (CMO) said in a statement.

The central probe agency is investigating more than a dozen land deals, including one related to defence land, wherein a group of land mafia, middlemen and bureaucrats allegedly connived to forge deeds and documents that go back as long back as 1932.

The ED has arrested several people in connection with the case. Soren, the leader of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, was interrogated for over nine hours by the ED on November 18 last year in another money laundering case linked to alleged illegal mining in the state.

The G20 dinner hosted by President Droupadi Murmu was attended by chief ministers of several states. Bihar's Nitish Kumar, West Bengal's Mamata Banerjee were among the state leaders from opposition parties who attended the gala event.

The round dinner tables at the event were labelled on different rivers in the country. They included Krishna, Yamuna, Brahmaputra, and Ganga.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Assam CM Hemant Biswa were also present at the dinner hosted by President Murmu. Among other guests were Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, seen dining with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the pictures.

Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, Rajasthan's Ashok Gehlot, Odisha's Naveen Patnaik and Delhi's Arvind Kejriwal were among the leaders from opposition parties who gave the event a miss.

Baghel said he would give the G20 dinner a miss as no non-scheduled flights were allowed in and out of the national capital due to security measures for the G20 Summit.

Later Prime Minister Narendra Modi handed over the G20 Presidency gavel to Lula da Silva, the President of Brazil, a country which will assume the presidency of the grouping from December 1 this year.
