Congress list smells nepotism, crimes against women: BJP

Monday, 16 October 2023 | Staff Reporter | BHOPAL

The top four names in Congress' list are nepotism, atrocities against women, crime and corruption. The Congress high command also knows that there is public anger against Kamal Nath and Congress, said Vishnudatt Sharma

BJP President and MP Vishnudutt Sharma said that the top four in the first list of Congress are examples of nepotism, atrocities against women, crime and corruption. The Congress list released on Sunday  has proved that after the public, even the Congress high command no longer has faith in Kamal Nath, this is the reason why the ticket of no sitting MLA except Kamal Nath has been finalized in Chhindwara district.

The imprint of Delhi and Digvijay Singh is clearly visible in this list. By giving tickets to Congress leaders who insult tribal heroes, harass women and oppose Vande Mataram, Congress has given the message that Congress leaders against whom serious cases have been registered, Congress is with those who commit such acts. The defeat of Congress, which has entered the electoral fray with such behaviour, character and faces, is certain.

Sharma said that a picture of nepotism, factionalism and anti-women can be seen in the Congress list. Congress has fielded Umang Singhar, Suresh Raje and Siddharth Kushwaha as candidates. Many cases have been registered against these leaders. He said that on one hand Bharatiya Janata Party has given opportunity to 28 youth but in the Congress list, leaders aged between 50 to 65 years are also in the electoral fray, this shows how much difference there is between Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress regarding the youth.

Sharma said that as soon as the first list of Congress came out, voices of protest and resignations had started from across the state. At many places, Congress leaders have started openly opposing each other. Pictures of the extent to which factionalism has become dominant in Congress have started emerging from various places. In Congress, except the grassroots workers, only those leaders have been given tickets who only make rounds of big leaders.

Sharma said that the shadow of dynasticism for which Congress is known is also clearly visible in this list. Congress has given ticket to Digvijay Singh's son Jaivardhan Singh from Raghogarh, his brother Laxman Singh from Chachoda, his relative Priyavrat Singh from Khilchipur, Samdhi Ghanshyam Singh from Sevda, nephew Sindhu Vikram Singh from Shamshabad and nephew-son-in-law Ajay Singh from Churhat. Similarly, tickets have been given to Premchand Guddu's daughter, Arun Yadav's brother, Ajay Singh's maternal uncle Rajendra Kumar Singh, from this it is clear that the list of Congress candidates has fallen victim to dynasty politics.

The State President said that the Congress, which released the list six months ago, after serious thinking and brainstorming, has given tickets to those who are tainted, accused and harassed women. The first list of Congress is full of Congressmen who insult tribal heroes, harass women, make derogatory and indecent remarks on women, Phool Singh Baraiya, who uses indecent language against the upper caste community and who chants Vande Mataram. They protest, make parodies of Geeta verses by insulting the narrators and the videos of whose immoral acts go viral.
