A delegation of 18 senior officials from the Government of Iraq, under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Program (ITEC), Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi, visited AIIMS, Bhopal, for a management development program conducted by IIM Indore.
The visit aimed to provide the participants with insights into the best practices and innovations in public policy and administration, as well as flagship schemes of the Government of India. During their visit at AIIMS, Bhopal, the delegates had the opportunity to interact with Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh, Executive Director &CEO AIIMS, Bhopal.
Executive Director Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh shared his extensive and experience, providing valuable insights into various aspects of public policy, administration, and the successful implementation of flagship schemes by the Government of India in health sector.
Col. (Dr.) Ajit Kumar, DD(A) welcomed the esteemed delegation and also made a presentation on Best Practices of General Administration at AIIMS Bhopal. Dr. Shashank Purwar, Medical Superintendent spoke on public schemes: Best practices and Innovations in hospital sector, Dr. Debashish Biswas, Dean (Research) made a brief presentation on Best Practices in Public Health Policy: Flagship Schemes and Government of India. The interactive sessions allowed the participants to gain a deeper understanding of effective Governance strategies and key elements for successful policy execution.
The delegates expressed their heartfelt gratitude for this interactive session and engaging discussions. The learning from this visit are expected to contribute significantly to their work in Iraq, empowering them to implement positive changes in their administrative practices. The Government of India's ITEC program, through initiatives like these, continues to promote international cooperation and capacity building among partner countries.
