An awareness program on gas safety was organized in the Human Resources Development Department's main auditorium at Bokaro Steel Plant, led by the Safety Engineering and Energy Management Department. The inaugural session saw the presence of P.K. Baisakhia, Chief General Manager (Safety), Shakti Kumar, District Disaster Management Officer, Gulshan Kumar, Chief General Manager (Energy Management Department), B.K. Sartape, Chief General Manager (Safety and Fire Services), along with approximately 300 officials, employees, and contract laborers from various departments of the plant.
Assistant General Manager (Safety Engineering Department) Rakesh Prasad Gupta welcomed all participants and chief guests, providing detailed insights into the gas safety awareness program. Following this, B.K. Sartape administered the safety oath to all participants, emphasizing the necessity and utility of this program. Gulshan Kumar, Chief General Manager (Energy Management Department), highlighted the importance of safe gas usage for the steel plant and appealed to all participants to benefit from this program.
P.K. Baisakhia, Chief General Manager (Safety), focused his address on the causes of gas-related accidents at the plant and measures for prevention, urging all participants to focus on effective measures and safety regulations for gas safety.
District Disaster Management Officer Shakti Kumar informed all participants through his presentation. Subsequently, Assistant General Manager (Safety Engineering Department) Aniruddh Divakar conducted the program's proceedings and vote of thanks.
