Chhattisgarh Congress President Deepak Baij said on Sunday that his party will make farming a profitable business by ensuring full price for agricultural produce if voted into power. Baij gave guarantees for the prosperity of farmers: a special law to provide legal status to minimum support price, a permanent agriculture debt waiver commission, redesigning the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana to provide relief within 30 days of crop loss, an import-export policy to protect the interests of farmers, and amending the GST system to exempt agricultural goods.
