By casting their votes, voters can win lucrative prizes

Bhopal district administration has taken a big initiative to increase the voting percentage in the Lok Sabha elections. On May 7, there will be 3 draws at a total of 2034 polling booths in the district, in which a total of 6102 prizes will be given.

There will also be a bumper draw, in which voters can win items ranging from bike, TV, washing machine, mixer, microwave and household needs.

It is happening for the first time in Bhopal in the Lok Sabha elections, when voters can also win a gift while casting their vote. Assistant Nodal Officer of SVEEP, Ritesh Sharma said, two draws will be conducted for each polling booth. One draw will open on May 7, the day of voting, while the other will be a bumper draw, which will be opened after voting. Voters will get gifts in both.

Voting for Bhopal Lok Sabha seat will be held on May 7. On the same day, there will be a draw system at 2034 polling stations in Bhopal district. There will be a draw 3 times a day at every booth. The first draw will be held at 10 am, the second at 2 pm and the third draw will be held at 6 pm.

There will be a lucky draw box at every booth. The voter will get a slip on the spot itself, which after casting the vote will have to be inserted in the box after writing the name, mobile number and polling station number. Prizes like T-shirt, tiffin, lunch box will be given in the draw. Even if a voter goes home after casting his vote, voter will be informed on mobile phone.

The second draw will take place after voting. This will include those voters who have participated in the voting draw. Through this draw, voters will be able to win household items like bike, fridge, washing machine, lunch box, mixer, microwave.

About 65 percent voting took place in the last elections in Bhopal Lok Sabha seat. This time the target is to increase it from 70 to 75 percent.

Bhopal Chamber of Commerce and Industries is also working with the district administration to increase the voting percentage. Recently a meeting was also held regarding this. In which there was talk of coming forward in the chamber.

In this meeting, it was also decided to encourage voters to vote through lucky draw coupons in every polling booth of Bhopal. To chalk out further strategy, a meeting will be held in the Collectorate's conference room in the presence of Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh on April 18 till 4 pm.

Chamber President Tejkulpal Singh Pali said that this time many innovations will be done to increase the voting percentage. The chamber is also participating.
