Ruling party in the State Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) said, on Monday, said an agreement has been reached on seat sharing for the Lok Sabha elections regarding Jharkhand. The formula that was put forward has been agreed upon and the seats and possible candidates will be announced soon, it added.

Addressing a press meet, JMM General Secretary and Spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya said that the Prime Minister is getting invitations from foreign countries without contesting the elections in 2024 and as soon as he wins the elections, this statement is very ridiculous. “The PM is making a mockery of democracy. The truth behind this claim of PM Modi is something else. The Election Commission will only announce the date of elections, but the actual elections will be conducted by the Enforcement Department. Whose script has been written for the last two years. Many states including Jharkhand are examples of this,” he added.

“The BJP which kept giving the slogan of making a Congress-free India, actually ended up becoming a Congress-oriented BJP. There are 740 MPs-MLAs in the country who joined Congress from other regional parties. Even though Modi is getting invitations from foreign countries without contesting elections, Hemant is being called by the tribals, youth, backward classes and minorities of the entire Country. Very soon Hemant will also go to the whole Country,” said Bhattacharya.

The party General Secretary further said that during the last ten years of rule, Modi changed the definition of many things. In 2014, Modi said, after our arrival, many new things will happen in the Country. “The Country will change. In 2019 it was said what to eat and what not to eat. What to wear, what not to wear. What to read, what not to read. What to listen to and what not to listen to. Opposition means corrupt and those in BJP are virtuous. Those who agree with the Government are nationalists. Anyone who opposes the Government is a traitor. The one who goes with BJP and the Deputy CM, the Minister and the one who does not go with them, goes to jail,” he added.

Bhattacharya said that the second farmer movement has started in the Country. “Farmers have been placed under house arrest. When farmers ask for MACP from the Government, the Government gives them the proposal of Innovation Agriculture. That means farmers should not cultivate paddy, maize and wheat but should cultivate pulses and cotton for Adani and Ambani. That means people should eat cotton and drink pulses. A strange situation is being created in this Country,” he added.

Ridiculing BJP's love for tribals and Dalits, the party Spokesperson said that by making a Dalit the President, he was not invited to the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Parliament House, while by making a tribal the President, she was not invited to the inauguration of the Parliament House. “After making a tribal woman the President, she was imprisoned in Rashtrapati Bhavan. Therefore, BJP's love for tribals and Dalits was not hidden from anyone,” he added.
