CM transferrs Rs 1000 crore for the development works of urban bodies

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that cleanliness in cities, modern transport means like metro, employment to youth are state government's priorities. Appointment letters have been given to employees. It is like a mini Kumbh, in which beneficiaries, government servants and institutions are being rewarded. He was rewarding select urban bodies for their outstanding work in Swachh Survekshan-2023 in Bhopal today.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav transferred Rs 1000 crore for the development works of urban bodies. Bhoomi pujan of 8 stations was also performed for the second phase of Bhopal Metro project. Dr. Yadav said that there was a time when metro train was a dream for the people of the state. After Bhopal and Indore, there are plans to construct metro rail lines in Jabalpur, Gwalior and other major cities of the state. To eliminate railway crossings in the state, the process of construction of 334 bridges along with construction of 105 railway over bridges has been started.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also released “Swachha Hum” booklet and “Sewage Management Policy 2024”. The programme was telecast live in all 413 civic bodies. Dr. Yadav gave appointment letters to 8 thousand 837 newly appointed employees. He symbolically presented 17 appointment letters.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Shri Modi had called upon the citizens to participate in the cleanliness campaign. The country is setting examples in cleanliness campaign. Madhya Pradesh has the privilege of being a leader in the sanitation sector. While Indore city has been chosen as the cleanest city for the 7th time, Bhopal has been chosen as the cleanest capital. Bhopal is also the 5th cleanest city in the country. Congratulating the awarded bodies, Dr. Yadav expected them to perform well in the sanitation sector.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, the nation is progressing in all spheres. The state government is also committed to work in all areas of development. Along with this, the government is also sensitive about the dignity of even the smallest employee associated with the government. Appointment letters were given to 8 thousand 837 youth for employment. As many as 15 thousand more appointment letters are to be handed over in the coming week. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated the newly appointed officers and employees.

Urban Administration and Housing Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya said that public representatives associated with urban bodies play an important role. People have the highest expectations from corporators, this is also natural. Indore and other cities of the state were selected by the Government of India for their good work in the Swachha Survekshan.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav presented the cleanliness awards to Shri Pushya Mitra Bhargava, mayor of Indore, the cleanest city in the country. Along with this, Bhopal Mayor Smt. Malti Rai received the award for the best clean capital. Apart from this, officials of the civic bodies selected for awards in various categories in the field of cleanliness, Ujjain, Saunsar, Mungawali, Naurojabad, Amarkantak, Budni, Badnawar, Vidisha, Shajapur and Khandwa were also rewarded.

A total of 65 awards were given to 47 urban bodies, 4 divisions, 3 districts, Madhya Pradesh as a state and one SBM team. The urban bodies that performed best in various components of the Central Government’s Swachha Survekshan-2023 and City Beauty Competition were honoured in the programme. Commissioners, Chief Municipal Officers, Swachhata Nodals, Safai Mitras, frontline workers etc. from the urban bodies who were honoured were the participants. It may be noted that last month the results of Swachha Survekshan-2023 were announced by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India. In this, the urban bodies of the state and the state have been honoured in various categories in the Swachha Survekshan-2023 and City Beauty Competition at the national level.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav presented appointment letters to the officers and employees selected from the Staff Selection Board. A total of 8 thousand 837 appointments have been made. Appointment letters were provided to officers and employees appointed on various posts in the Departments of Public Health and Medical Education, Agriculture, Panchayat and Rural Development, Animal Husbandry and Dairy, AYUSH, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department, Labour, Women and Child Development, Urban Development and Housing, Social Justice and Disabled Welfare, Bhopal Gas.

Tragedy, Relief and Rehabilitation, Public Works Department, Horticulture and Food Processing, Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment, General Administration, Public Relations, Commercial Tax and Tribal Affairs Department.

Those present were Sports and Youth Welfare, Cooperative Minister Shri Vishwas Sarang, Revenue Minister Shri Karan Singh Verma, Agriculture Minister Shri Andal Singh Kanshana, Minister of State for Backward Classes and Minority Welfare (Independent Charge) Smt. Krishna Gaur, Minister of State for Animal Husbandry Shri Lakhan Patel, Minister of State for Health Minister Shri Narendra Shivaji Patel, Minister of State for Urban Development and Housing Smt. Pratibha Bagri, MLA Shri Shailendra Jain, Shri Bhagwan Das Sabnani, Bhopal Mayor Smt. Malti Rai and Indore Mayor Shri Pushyamitra Bhargava. Principal Secretary Urban Development and Housing Shri Neeraj Mandloi gave details regarding departmental schemes.
