DIG holds review meeting ahead of polls

Ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha election ,Deputy Inspector General of Palamu Y S Ramesh held a review meeting and took stock of  preparations at the police auditorium, on Wednesday. All the police officers including SP Deepak Pandey and CRPF Commandant Nripendra Kumar Singh were present in the meeting. In the meeting the SP gave point-wise information about all the preparations. 

While addressing the media persons, the DIG said that information regarding all the preparations has been provided, he also said that more vigilance is being done on the border area regarding the elections, continuous checking is being done on the Bihar border, the police administration is fully committed to ensure that the elections are free, fair and smooth.

The DIG also inspected the check post set up in Bilaspur on the Uttar Pradesh-Jharkhand border in the district. During the inspection, the DIG took information about vehicle checking from the magistrate and police officer deputed there. He also took information about other check posts SP. 

The SP informed the DIG that two check posts have been set up on the road going to Uttar Pradesh. One check post has been set up in Bilaspur and the other in Kharondhi. He said that both the check posts are also being monitored through CCTV. 

The police officer deputed at the check post told the DIG that all the vehicles entering and coming from other states are being checked and the vehicle number is being registered during the checking. 

 Superintendent of Police Deepak Pandey, Police Inspector Ratan Kumar Singh, Police Station Incharge Aditya Nayak and other police personnel were present on the occasion.
