EC resolves 197 MCC complaints

Tuesday, 02 April 2024 | Staff Reporter | RAIPUR

The Election Commission in Chhattisgarh has resolved 197 complaints of violation of the Model Code of Conduct received via cVigil app, an official communique said on Monday.

Citizens can complain about violations such as illegal political promotional materials by taking a photo or making a two-minute video or audio recording.

The cVigil application has been designed to increase the participation of the citizens for quick resolution of violations of the model code.

The application connects the complainant to the district control room, returning officer and field verification units (flying squads).

Action is taken within 100 minutes of receiving a complaint. The complainant is informed once the issue is resolved.
