Hundreds of people from the Dalit community took membership of the Bharatiya Janata Party under the leadership of former state president of Bhim Army and state secretary of INTUC, Virendra Paswan, in the BJP state office on Wednesday. At the membership drive function organized in the state office auditorium, Leader of Opposition Amar Bauri and State General Secretary cum Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu welcomed everyone in the party by making them wear party belts, garlands and get online membership.

Addressing the meeting, Leader of Opposition Amar Bauri said that the Modi government at the Centre is completing the work of fulfilling the dreams of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. He said that the biggest well-wisher of the Dalit society is the Bharatiya Janata Party, which the Narendra Modi government has proved through its actions in the last 10 years. He said that the anti-Dalit, anti-backward, anti-youth and anti-women government is running in the state, for which the public will respond by voting heavily in favor of the Bharatiya Janata Party in this general election.

Addressing the function, State General Secretary cum Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu said that influenced by the policies of the Modi government at the Centre, people are joining the party in large numbers every day. He said that today there is an atmosphere of enthusiasm in every section of the society and Narendra Modi is our universally accepted leader. He said that the country has faith in Prime Minister Modi, the people have faith in him.

Former state president of Bhim Army, Virendra Paswan, who joined the party today, said that in the last 10 years of its tenure, the Modi government has worked the most for the upliftment of Dalits, due to which all of us, impressed, have joined the Bharatiya Janata Party today.

The meeting ceremony was conducted by Shivpujan Pathak and the vote of thanks was given by Kamlesh Ram.

Those who attended the party mainly included Poonam Devi, Pratima Devi, Shobha Devi, Babita Devi, Krishna Kumar Bauri, Dheeraj Kumar, Mohammed Shakeel, Suresh Paswan, Guddu Gupta, Rocky Kumar, Vishal Kumar, Mithlesh Kumar etc.
