JMM flays PM Modi for ‘disrespecting’ President

Tuesday, 02 April 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

Ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha in the State today attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for disrespecting a tribal President of India during the ‘Bharat Ratna’ programme at veteran BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani’s residence on March 31.

JMM General Secretary cum Spokesperson Supriyo Bhattachrya today said that the country witnessed how PM Modi disrespected a tribal President once again during the programme. He said that while the President was awarding ‘Bharat Ratna’ to LK Advani, the PM did not even rise from his seat to give respect to the President.

He further said that the President was not invited to the inauguration of the new Parliament House and the Bhoomi Pujan of Ram Temple, because the President is a tribal. BJP does not respect the tribal community. At least PM Modi should have respect for the post of President.

Bhattachrarya said that the result of whether the election will be won or not is to be declared on June 4. But, even before that Narendra Modi has become PM for the third time. Not standing to honour the President is an insult to the national symbol. Bharat Ratna is the symbol of the nation.

Talking about the INDIA Block’s rally in Delhi on March 31, he said that people were enthusiastic in Ramlila Maidan for change of power. People from all over the country are in solidarity with Hemant Soren and Arvind Kejriwal. No matter how much you run the reign of terror, the country is in the mood for change. Chaudhary Charan Singh was also awarded Bharat Ratna and how his own son was humiliated on the stage was witnessed by the whole country, he added.

Meanwhile, former CM Hemant Soren’s wife Kalpana Murmu Soren today returned to Ranchi after her two-day visit to Delhi. She said at the Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi that this was her first step in Ramlila Maidan. “I had never gone to Ramlila Maidan before. I consider myself fortunate that on behalf of Jharkhand, I got the opportunity to present my views with Champai Chacha at Ramlila Maidan and strengthen our INDI Alliance.

She said that the way Hemant Soren worked as Chief Minister for four years is well known. The public will answer to the rule of tyranny. He was arrested before the elections. “We got a chance to discuss all these things in Delhi. At the same time, I got to express the views of women and tribals, for which I consider myself fortunate. Now everyone will have to wait for June 4, only then will we know how the change has happened. There is full hope that we will come out victorious,” she said.
