The president of Uttarakhand Mahila Congress Jyoti Rautela has said that the unemployment and price rise are at their peak due to failed policies of the Narendra Modi government. Interacting with media persons at the State headquarters of the Congress on Tuesday Rautela said that the women of the State are facing problems running their households due to escalating prices. She said that the Union government has imposed additional tax on household items which has put a burden on the general public. Rautela alleged that the BJP government is trying to disturb communal harmony for electoral gains. Rautela said that the only achievement of the Modi government is the hefty rise in the prices of the petrol, diesel and cooking gas. She said that the people are reeling under price rise but the government is providing no relief. She claimed that the people have now become disillusioned with the BJP government as it has failed to check the price rise. Mentioning the Ankita Bhandari case, Rautela said that the women of the State are not safe. The people involved in her murder are roaming freely, she said.
