People in UP will reject Rahul, Akhilesh once again: UP BJP chief

Thursday, 18 April 2024 | PNS | Lucknow

Uttar Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party president Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary criticised the alliance between Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav, stating that it had failed in Uttar Pradesh previously and would face rejection from the people once again.

“The electorate could distinguish between power hungry politicians and those genuinely dedicated to serving their interests,” Chaudhary said in a statement here on Wednesday.

Reacting to the joint press conference of Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav in Ghaziabad on Wednesday, Chaudhary pointed out that the rhetoric of these politicians lacked substance, with promises outweighing actual implementation.

He highlighted the discrepancy between their claims and their actions, suggesting that their entry into national politics was driven solely by ambition rather than a commitment to addressing the issues facing the nation.

Furthermore, he questioned the credibility of the Congress party’s promises to eradicate poverty and provide financial support to women, noting that those who had their own accounts frozen could not be trusted to manage the finances of others.

Turning to the issue of agricultural reforms, Chaudhary challenged the effectiveness of Congress-led state governments in delivering on their pledges, citing instances of corruption and maladministration.

Contrasting the BJP’s approach, he lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s track record of fulfilling promises and providing a stable leadership that had propelled the country towards unprecedented development.

He expressed confidence in Modi’s leadership and reiterated the commitment of the BJP to continue on the path of progress.

Chaudhary asserted that the BJP’s strength lay in its alliance with the people, who had unwavering trust in Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. He projected optimism for the BJP’s electoral prospects, both in Uttar Pradesh and across the nation, reaffirming their determination to surpass previous electoral achievements.
