SBI organizes voter awareness car rally ahead of general elections

State Bank of India, Bhopal Circle organized a Voter awareness car rally and walkathon in Bhopal on Sunday to encourage citizens to exercise their democratic right and cast their vote in the upcoming General elections at Bhopal parliamentary constituency on Tuesday.

The car rally, themed "Jagruk Desh ki Yahi Pahchan Shat Pratishat Ho Matdaan", flagged off by Chief General Manager SBI Bhopal Circle, Chander Shekhar Sharma along with several distinguished guests and dignitaries including Chief Electoral officer Anupam Rajan and Collector Bhopal, Kaushlendra Vikram Singh from Atal Path Near Platinum Plaza to Shahpura lake Bhopal.

The car rally involved a convoy of over 70 four-wheelers of SBI Staff Members traveling through the main streets of the city, with participants displaying banners for awareness of casting their vote and importance of voting.

Thereafter, a walkathon and Street Play was organized at Shahpura Lake involving community for raising civic awareness for using the democratic right.

At this occasion Chief Electoral office, Anupam Rajan expressed his gratitude for this noble gesture made by State Bank of India towards the national cause that will surely help in the election commission's ambitious goal of registering highest ever voting in Bhopal City.

Chief General Manager SBI Bhopal Circle, Chander Shekhar Sharma said that "As a responsible corporate citizen & India's largest public sector bank, SBI has its duty to spread awareness in the society. We are thrilled with the turnout and enthusiasm displayed at our voter awareness rally". He further added that through this car rally, we aim to inspire our fellow citizens to register and vote. He said that the task is not yet completed till everyone including all SBI staff members at Bhopal cast their vote on May 7.

The program was attended by staff members and senior officials of SBI including General Managers SBI Bhopal Circle Niraj Prasad, Kundan Jyoti and Ajitav Parashar.

At the end, vote of thanks was given by Deputy General Manager & CirDO Deepak Kumar Jha. He extends his sincere gratitude to all the dignitaries who took out time from their busy schedule and participated in the rally. He further appreciated the district and police administration for all the support provided to make the event a success and inspired the community to engage in the democratic process.
